Matt Shott's tireless efforts in hockey development, which spanned over a decade, helped grow hockey in Arizona exponentially. His resolve and commitment helped the Arizona Kachinas earn Tier 1 status, but in reality he transcended the sport.
Matt's memory is honored in every Arizona hockey rink with a banner that bears his name and jersey number, and we as an organization don't just strive to keep his memory alive - we live it.

 

During Matt's 10 year tenure as an employee of the Arizona Coyotes, he developed and supported several growth programs prior to his passing in 2021 at the age of 34.  These programs include: youth and adult learn-to-play, female hockey, roller hockey, street hockey, sled hockey and special hockey.
